‘Convict Life’ explores the convict experience – from transportation to the forging of a new life in the colony of New South Wales. The exhibition – on display until May 2013 – reveals the contribution convict workers made to the building of early Sydney. Visitors also have the chance to learn about the everyday lives of convicts, as well as walk across a giant map of Sydney in the early 1820s.
