Tullamore Irish Festival celebrates Tullamore's historic Irish connections with Irish music, dancing, singing, games for young and old, history displays, authentic food and beverages, art, films and the incorporation of traditional Easter observances. Commencing with a Visual Arts Exhibition with gala opening Easter Thursday evening, continuing Good Friday with Irish films, Stations of the Cross in the Park and Celtic Campfire concert, exploding Easter Saturday with dancing in the street/Street Parade, stage entertainment featuring Irish bands/music/singers, world class Irish dancers, Irish/Aussie food, Tully's Bar, free children's entertainment, the lucrative Tullamore Irish Hurdles "horse race with a difference", Wearing of the Green comp, Irish tug o'war, Irish bike riding, history/heritage displays and stalls and culminating Easter Sunday with Poet's breakfast, Ecumenical service, charity auction and wind-down Hooley with festival artists, this is the way to enjoy a family-friendly Easter weekend.
